MRI Center

Director: Scott E. Fraser

Contact: Russell Jacobs (rjacobs@caltech.edu)

The mission of the MRI Center is to make cutting-edge imaging equipment available to the members of the USC research community. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a non-destructive imaging modality in which the specimens remain in near physiological conditions preserving tissue morphology.

The MRI machines are currently housed in the Biological Imaging Facility at the Beckman Institute at Caltech and will be moved to the Eli and Edythe Broad CIRM Center for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research at USC in the near future.
